Evalue Technology Inc., a leading embedded solution provider has recently rolled out EMB-9680, the Mini-ITX motherboard based on Mobile Intel® 915GM Express chipset and Intel® ICH6M. Accommodating up to 2 GB of DDR system memory, EMB-9680 is validated with the Intel® Pentium® M and Intel® Celeron® M processors at 533 MHz and 2MB L2 cache. Unique featuers incude onboard Touch Screen controller and flexible I/O connectivity provided by two default 10/100Mbps Ethernet with optional Giga LAN, eight USB 2.0, five serial ports and 16-bit digital I/O pins.

This Mini-ITX SBC adopts Intel® 915GM chipset which features a 32-bit 3D graphics engine based on Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900 (Intel® GMA 900) architecture. The EMB-9680 can operate up to 320 MHz and deliver two times higher improvement in graphics performance than 855GME chipset platform. Such a board comes with dual independent pipe for dual independent display and single- or dual-channel LVDS panel support up to 1600x1200 panel resolution.

EMB-9680 is packed with versatile characteristics in a neatly designed I/O shield that combines 5.1-channel audio jack with D-sub port for CRT video monitor, YPbPr port for HDTV connection, and dual LAN ports for Ethernet access. An onboard Serial ATA controller supports two hard disk drives at transfer rate of 150MB/second. More peripheral add-ons are available through one 1X/16X PCI Express slot, CompactFlash socket and Mini PCI slot.

EMB-9680 features high speed Graphics and Audio performance, as well as I/O connections. The board incorporates Pentium® M processor and 915GM chipset, both which are parts of Embedded Intel® Architecture (IA) that warrants long product life for extended availability. Based on PCI express* bus architecture, EMB-9680 is designed to fulfill critical applications such as gaming, POS, KIOSK, medical and telecommunications.
